- AED 6155 1/2" birch wood spread bore 4 barrel carburetor spacer open center with stud kit
- AED Carburetor Spacers offer many distinct advantages: Besides traditional tuning changes in plenum volume which can improve torque and power output, Birchwood is a great thermal barrier.
- By keeping fuel bowls cool you get a noticeable increase in fuel density, resulting in a better charge available for combustion
- AED has seen results on the dyno of up to 20 horsepower using these spacers
- AED originally designed these spacers for racing but soon found out the benefits on street cars eliminating heat soak and vapor lock problems associated with high underhood temperatures
- Today's fuels have significantly lower boiling points compounding these problems especially with aluminum manifolds
- Spacers are coated with a special sealer to promote sealing
- Works with most spread bore carbs: Holley 4165 4175 4011
- Rochester Quadrajet carbs will require two (2) longer than stock bolts to replace the long OE bolts
- Carb studs are 2" Long for the 1/2" Carb Spacer
- Carburetor studs will prevent stripped-out threads in your aluminum intake.
- The studs hold the gasket in place and provide a guide to place the spacer and carburetor
- Black oxide 5/16-18 thread integrated Allen head hex studs with gold iridited nuts and stainless steel washers
- Kits include spacer, four studs, four nuts, and four reduced diameter washers
